SCENES FROM THE SAVOIE COUNTRY TJ VIAN (Haute-Savoie). Built in the form of an amphi-^^ theatre on the southern shore of Lake Geneva, at analtitude of about 1200 feet. There are several springs, of which the best knownand most important is La Source Cachat. TREATMENT is principally internal. RECOMMENDED in cases of chronic gout and allaffections of the urinary channels. SEASON—From the 15th of May to the 15th ofOctober, but frequented mostly from the 1st of July tothe 15th of September, which is the period of the grandesaison with its numerous and various fetes, concerts andtheatrical performances, dances, tennis, golf; excellentexcursion center. A great number of hotels, villas and pensions. Distance from Paris 420 miles via Paris, Lyons 85Mediterranean Ry. 84

OT. GERVAIS (Haute-Savoie) is situated at an alti-^ tude of 2,000 feet in a gorge at the foot of MontBlanc. There is a thermal establishment with a Hotel Annexand park. The WATERS of the three springs are of a sulphurousnature, varying in temperature from 103 to 108 degrees F. TREATMENT—Internal and external. RECOMMENDED in cases of skin diseases, affec-tions of the digestive and intestinal organs, nervousmaladies, cardiac affections, etc. SEASON—From the 1st of June to the 1st of October. Good hotels, promenades and magnificent mountainexcursions; electric railways facilitate excursions in thevicinity. Distance from Paris 432 miles via Paris, Lyons 8bMediterranean Ry. 86
