Notes
  • Significance: St. George Tucker, noted Virginia jurist, moved a small, early eighteenth century, one and one-half story frame house from the east side of the Palace Green to this site, and greatly enlarged it to its present size, between 1788 and 1798. Many of the building and finishing accounts survive in the family papers. The house is owned by the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation and was restored in 1931.
