Now it haschanged its name and business, and is known as the PaperFabrique factory, but its appearance is little altered, and thelandscape in consequence little changed. Such a delightful spot could not long escape the attentionof lovers of the beautiful, especially as it wears the appear,-ance of seclusion, in addition to its i^icturesque beauty; ac-cordingly, one who is now President of the Young MensMercantile Library Association, secured the choicest pointsof location some years ago, and has since added to their ex-tent, and is constantly improving them. The accompanjdng engraving shows the character of theseimprovements. Mr. Munson has been unsparing in his out-lay. His outhouses rival his residence; his stable and car-riage house, green house, deer park and hennery, have beencontrived with taste, and fitted up regardless of expense.His greenhouse contains 600 square feet of glass.

East of the station, is the snug little cottage ot LawrenceSpaeth, who is a special mail agent^ to whom we are indebtedfor postal information. Not for from the two last mentioned, is the residence ofAlbert Ferris, one of the oldest citizens. Mrs. Ferris is sixtyyears of age. His father and family came to Columbia in1790, remained there eighteen months, then cut his waythrough the Avoods to the vicinity of the place now knownas Pleasant Kidge, and camped in a wagon till
