CARTHAGI COLLEGI CARTHAGKCOLLEGE THE 1911 CRIMSON RAMBLER GIRLS BASKET BALL REVIEW SEASON OF 1911 A LTHOUGH Girls Basket Ball is practically new in our College,and has been handicapped by the girls being- unable to playaway from home, our team this season has finished the yearwithout a defeat. This is the second year that our girls have been ableto finish the season undefeated, and we are justly proud of them. Although we had but two of the old players back, losing our for-wards, one center and guards, we were fortunate in having four ex-perienced players in the Freshman class. Another great advantagewas a good second team. And the loyalty with which the girls prac-ticed put any other organization to shame. Nothing could keep themfrom practice, and with the able assistance of their coach, R. Hartman,they were able to do some good work. In the first game with C. H. S. our girls showed their ability alongfour lines. Handling the ball, throwing baskets, guarding and keepingfrom fouling.
