These are intendedto show the best manner in which an Are (100 squaremetres) of land can be laid out and cultivated. Theidea is to exhibit to the poorer class of Berlin inwhich way the many vacant building-plots in thevicinity of the metropolis awaiting the builder, butwhich can be rented provisionally, can be made togrow vegetables. And with the intention of showingat what cost, and with what profit this can be done,every expense, exclusive of rent, and the cost oflabour, and all takings, aie given. In the technical section, a novelty is shown of awindow - plant cill or board which prevents waterdribbling on the pedestrian when the plants areafforded water. It was exhibited by H.
