al site have beenreported, and to this number I have added the report of a casethat was primary in the uterine musculature. In the recorded 21 cases unmistakable chorioepitheliomatoustumors have been observed in locations remote from the placentalsite of the uterus and Fallopian tubes. In no case has it been pos-sible to trace a direct anatomical connection between the placentalsite and the primary tumor. It isalso true that primary extrauterine chorioepithehoma arises withgreatest frequency in the vaginal walls. This is an exception tothe rule that tissues which are a common seat of primary malig-nant growths are seldom a seat of secondary invasion by thesegrowths. The following presents the topographical distributionof the chorioepitheliomata in regions not connected with the placen-tal site: vagina, 14; lungs, 8; liver, 5; brain, 5; kidney, 5; uterinemusculature, 3; intestine, 3, and 1 each in spleen, thyroid, supra-renal gland, retroperitoneal lymph gland, heart muscle, ovary, bladder, labium, and mediastinum. It was not always possible to identify the primary growth apartfrom the secondary metastatic growths. The vagina was believedto be the primary seat in 11 cases; the uterine musculature in 3cases; the cervix, brain, kidney, and labium each in 1 case. Inthe
