And I thought iffifty thousand people would allow an interest to run thecity for its own benefit that the city ought to die. Yes,San Diego has many attractions and the tourist will beglad to see and enjoy its many varied attractions. After staying here a few days and seeing what 1thought was worth while, I returned to Los Angeles, thehome of the tourist. My partner was ready to take a tripto Frisco by water, so we went to San Pedro and tookpassage on one of the steamships plying between thosetwo ports. To me it was a very pleasant trip, for I wasone of a few who were able to take the meals when theywere ready, but when we got to the dock at Frisco thepassengers were all able and very willing to disembark.This was our first experience on an ocean steamer, andwe will not soon forget it.
