The fisherman has deserted Ningal formore profitable waters, but the finest chikorshooting in Kashmir can be obtained along theshores of the Woollar lake. To indulge in thissport a license must be taken out from theKashmir Government; this permit costs lessthan thirty shillings, and covers chikor, pheasantand partridge from September to February;duck, geese, snipe and teal from September untilApril.
