Notes
  • Significance: Hotel C, located on the West Range of the University of Virginia was completed and ready for use as a boarding house by October, 1822. It now serves as the meeting hall for the Jefferson Society. The architectural design of Hotel C reflects a style of Roman Classicism which is characteristic of Thomas Jefferson's work. This technique is evident in Jefferson's architectural designs and has had a great influence on subsequent southern architecture.
  • Unprocessed Field note material exists for this structure: FN-265
