  • Significance: The theatre was built to accommodate both vaudeville and motion picture. The Oak Park Theatre was the third major theatre to be built after the turn of the century. The first and largest was the Warrington Opera House designed by architect E. E. Roberts, and built in 1902. The Play House Theatre, A Prairie School design by Roberts also, opened in 1913.
