Notes

  • Significance: North porch an addition. Gray stucco. Shed roof covered with 2 layers asphalt and 2 layers wood shingles. Concrete block foundation. Stucco walls overhang foundation for 3" so probably added later. Vaughns raised 8 children in this small house. House was vacated circa 1959 when Vaughn moved to Topeka, Kansas temporarily. Household contents were left behind in house. House demonstrates rich variety of building materials and craftsmanship.
