Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Fibonacci-Folge, Abbildung edit

Sehr geehrter Andree Stephan,

in dem Wikipedia Artikel "Fibonacci-Folge" findet sich die von Ihnen erstellte Grafik "Anordnung gleich großer Kreise im Abstand des goldenen Winkels mit farblicher Markierung der Fibonacci-Spiralen 8, 13, 21, 34.". Ich wollte die Konstruktion nachvollziehen, um ggf. das Wachstum der Sonnenblumenblüte besser zu verstehen. Da mir das nicht so recht gelungen ist, bitte ich Sie um Hilfe. Wenn ich annehme, dass der innerste Kreis, der erste der grün gefärbten 21 Spiralen, die Nummer 1 ist, dann befindet sich Nummer 2 137,5° weiter, Nummer 3 ist dann der innerste der blau eingefärbten Kreise, der von Nummer 1 270,0° entfernt ist, und so weiter.

Nun meine Fragen: Nach welcher Vorschrift oder Systematik ändern sich die Abstände der Kreise zum Mittelpunkt? Welche weiteren Gesetzmäßigkeiten sind bei der Konstruktion der Zeichnung zu Grunde gelegt?

Hallo Thurisaz1,

richtig, der innerste Kreis der 21-Spirale ist der Ausgangskreis mit willkürlich gewähltem Abstand zum Mittelpunkt. Die weiteren Kreise liegen auf gleichem Radius im Abstand des Goldenen Winkels Ψ bis eine Überdeckung auftritt. Der neue Kreis(punkt) liegt nun radial versetzt und tangiert den zuvor überdeckten Kreis. So wird der Winkelabstand Ψ beizubehalten. Alle folgenden Kreispunkte liegen auf diesem neuen Radius (hier: im Uhrzeigersinn) im Winkelabstand Ψ bis eine weitere Überdeckung auftritt etc. Wie in der Natur/Flora kann diese Folge von Kreisen auch mit einer kontinuierlichen Größenzunahme einhergehen. Die Spiralen entwickeln sich dann mit rel. geringeren Krümmungsradien.
