Spotty upload performance

Image:Weakerthans guy... hey look over there, by tao zhyn.jpg, tokenid 24208, hasn't uploaded, but Flickrbot did add license information. The same thing happened yesterday two other images (which I uploaded manually): Image:Katy Perry with arm raised, by medigirol.jpg and Image:Katy Perry with raised fist, by medigirol.jpg.--ragesoss (talk) 19:14, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

DRBot mistake

Note how DRBot was "tricked" here - Image talk:Decebalus Rex.jpg. The image was deleted, but a new one uploaded soon after, apparently leading the bot to wrongly state that the result was "keep". --dave pape (talk) 03:23, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

User:DRBot not running on older deletion requests?

Could it be, that User:DRBot is not running on older deletion requests like from March, April 2008? I was just manually archiving all closed deletion requests from March. And also April is full of closed requests, but I just do not have the time to do it manually, when DRBot could/should do it. Is there are problem? --ALE! ¿…? 12:36, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

Commons Scope - Pdf and Djvu files

I have added some text dealing with these based on the discussion on the talk page. Users are by no means unanimous about which files should be allowed, and I have tried to follow the majority opinion. Thus, the suggestion is that if a Pdf or Djvu file is educationally useful even to a single other Wiki it should be kept. Would you like to comment before this page goes live? I, too, have been running into odd situations where the bot does not actually upload the image. The latest was Image:Fred and Andrew Baron.jpg. It only happens rarely and I have not been able to figure out the common denominator. Kelly (talk) 22:23, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

As for POTY, it has been in my head lately :) but mostly as "I really hope some people who aren't me pick this up and run with it". I would like to be on the outer, if possible, providing guidance if requested but not driving the whole thing. I have too many other projects timesinking me and frankly after some of the bitching I recall last year, I hope those people are looking forward to getting in there and doing it themselves.

However, as you know, I love POTY dearly and if it really looked like it wouldn't run, I would probably throw myself at it to try and make that happen.

The image from the source has been deleted. What are the next steps here? Further I believe that the image is disputed and it is a case of bad faith addition as self-taken image. The image in question was supposed to be uploaded by Flickr upload bot, but hasn't been uploaded after about two hours. The bot edited the page to show that the image has been uploaded, but the image isn't there. And apparently links to the page aren't good either since the title is redlinked, though there is a page there - just put the title into the search box.
