Why is not working?

The flicker bot not working?

edit

The photo (and its cripped version) were uoloaded into Commons by someone that its not the author and in the flickr account it clearly says that the author owns all the rights to this image. http://www.flickr.com/photos/45879501@N00/879416716 I've tried to make people in Commons to notice this, but they keep saying that, regardless if the author or somene else uploaded the image, it is under the CC Licence, despite what the Flickr account of the author says "ALL RIGHTS RESERVED All material in my gallery MAY NOT be reproduced, copied, edited, published, transmitted or uploaded in any way without my permission " Wich make the CC license applied by the bot with no effect. Also, as i said before, the image was not uploaded by the author and should not be allowed into Commons if the source of it has all of its rights. --Totorobeckham (talk) 16:44, 27 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Done At the time of the Commons upload the image was license cc-by on Flickr, this was reviewed by a robot. See Template:Flickr-change-of-license. --Martin H. (talk) 04:16, 11 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi, your bot correctly tagged the image as being incompatable with the Commons licencing. At the time the bot checked the image was under "All Rights Reserved". However, I had left a message with that user and they have since changed the release to Attribution-Share Alike 2.0 Generic. Can you re-check the image. Thanks.   Done and also please remember to upload the largest size. --Yarnalgo (talk) 06:01, 28 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Pictures from Flickr now have acceptable license

edit

The following images were marked as non-free images recently by your bot, but I recently got the author of them at flickr (i.e. drs2biz) to place them under a free Share Alike license. I would like you to now fix them, please.

Thank you.--PericlesofAthens (talk) 09:45, 28 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Won't upload. I had to use another picture. One I tried to do of Italian punk band Klassic Kriminale, I had to save the picture and upload it manually, as well as copying templates. Usually, I have no problem. FotoPhest (talk) 17:08, 28 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Problems with upload

edit

Hello Bryan,
I uploaded yesterday some pictures using your Flickr upload bot but some of them are still not loaded so far:

  • File:Cité olympique d'El Menzah.jpg (tokenId: 53839)
  • File:Roman Pool Gafsa.jpg (tokenId: 53841)
  • File:Colline de la kasbah Tunis.jpg (tokenId: 53843 and again tokenId: 53853)
  • File:Terminal Tunis Carthage.jpg (tokenId: 53844 and again tokenId: 53852).

Could you please have a look and see why these are not loaded (more recent images have been uploaded)? Thanks in advance Moumou82 (talk) 07:04, 29 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Exemption request

edit

Bryan, could I have an exemption for the Flickr upload utility? I thought I already had one, but I just hit the limit. Thanks!--ragesoss (talk) 16:10, 21 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Flickr upload bot says I didn't edit the image page.

I'm trying to upload the image from flickr, and when I go to finalize the download, it keeps redirecting to this page, even thought I tried to skirt it by putting "none" in the other versions line of the infobox. What is going on? --293.xx.xxx.xx (talk) 18:16, 26 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Flickr upload exemption request

edit

Could I request an exemption? I'm currently expanding and illustrating a lengthy series on civil engineering on en-wiki, which is requiring large numbers of bridge & railway images, and your bot is far easier than manually uploading.iridescent 15:47, 5 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi. This image is not uploaded. Is there a way to fix it? Thanks a lot for your help. ~ bayo or talk 11:31, 9 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

File:Aratinga erythrogenys - feral bird on branch.jpg. I followed the standard procedure but the bot never uploaded the image. Thanks. --Commons Shaped Box (talk) 17:09, 13 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

DRBot's "its result was delete"

edit

Hi. I think this edit summary should have ended not with “; its result was delete”, but with something like “; the file has been deleted” or “; the file was deleted”, since that was the reason the bot has closed the DR. Thank you. --AVRS (talk) 20:59, 26 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

DRbot missing some

edit

Hi Bryan! I have been cleaning up in the DR's and found some from 2008 not beeing archived. I did them manually but now I also found some from 2009. Can you tell me why the closed DR's in Commons:Deletion_requests/2009/01 was not archived? Is it because there is no ''' before and after Kept or Deleted? --MGA73 (talk) 08:21, 27 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Flickr pictures' time zone

edit

I think it would be a nice improvement if your Flickr upload tool could retrieve the time zone together with the date and hour of each picture.

It seems that each Flickr user can choose his own time zone for his flickr account, and that this time zone is used by Flickr to interpret the EXIF date and time and calculate the Flickr "taken on" photo date and time.
