There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful information about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

If you didn't look at my user page, I'm an admin on the English Wikipedia, but I'm doing some work around here to bone up on copyright and simply because I enjoy working with files. Again, ping me on my enwp if you leave a msg please. I'm here more often, but still not daily. Dennis Brown - © 00:54, 26 March 2013 (UTC)

File:Dinah the Pink Dinosaur.jpg

File:Dinah the Pink Dinosaur.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

If you leave a message here, please leave me a note at user page on Wikipedia as well, since I don't come to commons every day, or week. Dennis Brown (talk) 20:39, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

Your VFC installation method is deprecated

Hello Dennis Brown, we are aware that using the old installation method of VFC (via common.js, which you are using) may not work reliably anymore and can break other scripts as well. A detailed explanation can be found here. Important: To prevent problems please remove the old VFC installation code from your common.js and instead enable the VFC gadget in your preferences. Thanks! --VFC devs (q) 16:23, 22 May 2017 (UTC)

Important message for file movers

A community discussion has been closed where the consensus was to grant all file movers the suppressredirect user right. This will allow file movers to not leave behind a redirect when moving files and instead automatically have the original file name deleted. Policy never requires you to suppress the redirect, suppression of redirects is entirely optional.

Possible acceptable uses of this ability:

  • To move recently uploaded files with an obvious error in the file name where that error would not be a reasonable redirect. For example: moving "Sheep in a tree.jpg" to "Squirrel in a tree.jpg" when the image does in fact depict a squirrel.
  • To perform file name swaps.
  • When the original file name contains vandalism. (File renaming criterion #5)

Please note, this ability should be used only in certain circumstances and only if you are absolutely sure that it is not going to break the display of the file on any project. Redirects should never be suppressed if the file is in use on any project. When in doubt, leave a redirect. If you forget to suppress the redirect in case of file name vandalism or you are not fully certain if the original file name is actually vandalism, leave a redirect and tag the redirect for speedy deletion per G2.

The malicious or reckless breaking of file links via the suppressredirect user right is considered an abuse of the file mover right and is grounds for immediate revocation of that right. This message serves as both a notice that you have this right and as an official warning. Questions regarding this right should be directed to administrators. --Majora (talk) 21:35, 7 November 2019 (UTC)

User:Yadhu Krishna BP

Dear Sir,

Please Unblock my account Yadhu Krishna BP. I had only this account as my first account on Wikipedia. User:Jomontogeorge is not my account nor I know him. For verification You go to User:Deepika o's user page there You will come to know that Account named Jomontogeorge belonged to her. Yadhu Krishna BP (talk) 16:27, 6 September 2022 (UTC)

Please ask what all information You want to know from me that led to block my account. Yadhu Krishna BP (talk) 16:28, 6 September 2022 (UTC)

After getting frustrated and impatience I created One more account named Yadhu Krishna BP.html on 1st September 2022. My first account Yadhu Krishna BP was created on 3rd April 2022. Creation of second account was not done to evade any block or to abuse multiple account. Yadhu Krishna BP (talk) 16:31, 6 September 2022 (UTC)

The Second account was created using different IP Addresses. Now both these accounts are blocked. Yadhu Krishna BP (talk) 16:33, 6 September 2022 (UTC)

I wanted You to Unblock only my first account named Yadhu Krishna BP keeping the Second blocked for ever. Yadhu Krishna BP (talk) 16:34, 6 September 2022 (UTC)

Mind You, I am not an unproductive user/editor.

Thank You Yadhu Krishna BP (talk) 16:35, 6 September 2022 (UTC)

I understand that my decision to create another account named Yadhu Krishna BP.html was wrong because this would mislead other users. Yadhu Krishna BP (talk) 16:42, 6 September 2022 (UTC)

First of all, I'm not an admin here, and this isn't the English Wikipedia. Let me break down the two reasons you aren't going to get unblocked, by me at least: You sockpuppeted and you were dishonest afterwards. That isn't the worst part. Second, you lack the English skills, the competency to edit, and the maturity to contribute in a positive manner. Even had you never sock'ed, your editing is a problem. You need to work on the Wiki for your native language, not the English, at least for a year or two, then you can come back and request an unblock. JBW is already taking the lead in the appeal of your case, you have already emailed him, and he doesn't need my authority to modify or remove the block, I freely grant that to him without any permission. But don't contact me here, this is a different project. Find another wiki to participate in, there are dozens here. I won't be unblocking you at enwp any time soon. Thanks for Your reply

Mind You English not only the I know. As an Indian I know Malayalam, Hindi and Sanskrit. Yadhu Krishna BP (talk) 02:15, 7 September 2022 (UTC)

To Know

Dear Sir

How can I know that an image uploaded by me on Commons and nominated for deletion by some other User as completely been deleted/removed form Commons Server. Yadhu Krishna BP (talk) 07:46, 21 September 2022 (UTC)

  • Go to "User contributions" in the left menu. If you do not see the file listed there, then it has been deleted. Alternately, go the file name you used to upload, and if it is a red link, nothing there, then it has been deleted. Dennis Brown - © 10:52, 21 September 2022 (UTC)

Dear Sir

I am Yadhu, actually I was not arguing with You. I like to make and have friends like You. I somehow talked to you rudely/impolitely it was actually because I didn't liked Your interruption during my account blocking by Administrator:JBW. Forgive me for this.

I understand my mistakes like creating multiple accounts and unconstructive editing. Now I am waiting patiently for 8th or more months after which I will again request for my unblock to Administrator:JBW. Till then I will Obey all the advices given to me by him. Also as a last chance he had granted me access to English Wikipedia talk page.
