Køge foto edit

Der er en ny foto af Danmarks ældst eksisterende bindingsværkshus, at du uploaderede. [1] Synes du, at det skulle stå på Køge ? - Annepetersen.

Tip: Categorizing images edit

Hello, Hubertus45!

Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

Color corrections on the danish location maps edit

Dear Hubertus45,

the danish location maps were created according to an accepted standard in the german and french wikipedia (see de:Wikipedia:Kartenwerkstatt/Positionskarten and de:Wikipedia:Kartenwerkstatt/Positionskarten/FAQ (in german) and fr:Projet:Cartographie/Recommandation/Carte géographique (in french)).

Your recoloring of the maps violates these accepted standards and forces the rest of the world to accept your changes. If you want to use your recolored maps in the danish wikipedia do so by uploading a copy and adjusting the map templates to use the new maps.

Please revert your changes on the files as soon as possible.

Yours, see: [[:de:Benutzer:Erik Frohne]] (talk) 14:15, 19 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

I agree with Erik Frohne. please revert your changes -- Xfigpower (pssst) 15:56, 20 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
I must say I find it very difficult to see what the problem is. This is actually an improvement of the maps, making it much more easy to distinguish the regions from each other. Not all monitors show the contrast yellow/white colour very clearly that is why the green was chosen. The state map of Denmark remains untouched and is still pure white. Please reconsider you action. -- Hubertus45 (talk) 22:56, 21 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
Please, use instead the color #F6E1B9/rvb(246,225,185) like Image:USA California location map.svg -- Xfigpower (pssst) 13:59, 28 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
Okay, no problem. I will do that. This is still better than the original. -- Hubertus45 (talk) 01:21, 29 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
For your information: After talking to some other map makers in the german wikipedia it is not accepted to deviate from the standards and recolor the location maps. So I created a new set of the location maps with the coloring of your maps and changed the name. The location map templates in the danish wikipedia were adjusted to use the new files, so there should be no trouble for you. The old files were reverted to the original they started from.
BTW: You are using a program for creating svg-files with errors. The file size is up to five times larger than the original file size and it is no longer editable by inkscape (or a text editor). I recommend that you use inkscape for creating or changing an existing file in the future.
Yours, see: [[:de:Benutzer:Erik Frohne]] (talk) 13:59, 13 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, Erik. Sorry if this has caused any troubles, I just wanted a better map for everybody. I am glad you could help me out on the Danish wikipedia. Best regards, --Hubertus45 (talk) 14:52, 13 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
