Image:Bronze medal world.svg

I'm not even sure that this image uses a version of the correct Olympic emblem -- the rings are not shown as interlinked (instead, the upper three rings just lie on top of the lower two). AnonMoos 13:34, 19 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'm just about to remove them ;) The images are not intended for olympic games but worldcups (see here) --maix¿? 16:09, 19 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
With the new version of the image, you don't need the Olympic disclaimers. AnonMoos 00:59, 20 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
But for image Image:Bronze medal.svg , the same comments apply -- incorrect (non-linked) version of Olympic rings emblem. AnonMoos 01:01, 20 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
Oh, right. I'll remove respectivly add them. --maix¿? 11:29, 20 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image Tagging

...

Thanks for adding the licence tags! However, are you sure about licensing images under the GPL? It’s better suited for software than for this kind of media and most people would use the GFDL instead. —xyzzyn 23:52, 9 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
Does GFDL mean the same (concerning the privileges) as GPL, just for media instead software? --maix¿? 09:34, 10 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
In principle, yes; however, it is focused on use with documents, so they are mutually incompatible. Since everything you write here is licensed under the GFDL, you might want to read it or read about it. —xyzzyn 15:37, 10 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
I've read this already. Hm, it's very bad that they are incompatible. Maybe I'll use both. --maix¿? 21:59, 10 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Oh, thanks, but that image is just a vectorization of Time zones of Europe.png :-) --maix¿? 16:38, 7 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ok but bronze should bronze, not brown (!!)... and gold should be gold... I'll see if I can make better colours --Gambo7 (talk) 15:13, 19 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

2012 Picture of the Year: A pair of European Bee-eaters in Ariège, France.

Dear Wikimedians,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2013 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the eighth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2013) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. The top 30 overall and the most popular image in each category have continued to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just one image to become the Picture of the Year.

Round 2 will end on 7 March 2014. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Commons:Picture_of_the_Year/2013/Introduction/en Click here to learn more and vote »]

Gold medal Colombia.svg

edit

Hi Maix. I am from Colombia and I write Wikipedia articles about ciclism: races and cyclist.

I want to get better the page of colombian ciclism and other sports. So I want to replace the image of medals about victories on every "colombian championships" with medals with "colombian maps", due I can see some medals for colombian championships with images not related to, for example america images. I do not have enough skills to create some "Gold/Silver/Bronze medals Colombia.svg"so due you express in your profile that you can contribute to create vectorial graphs. I'd like to know if you can create medals with Colombian map like "Gold medals Colombia.svg", "Silver medals Colombia.svg" and "Bronze medals Colombia.svg". Kind regards. (discusión)

Hi. (I'm maix, this is a new account name I use). You mean like Gold medal europe.svg but with the contour of columbia instead of europe? (And also silver and bronze of course) (btw, just add --~~~~ at the end to sign) --dingensfünf 16:37, 4 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
Hi. Yes. Using colombian map. But finally I could do it. Now I have a   (and Silver, Bronze). Thank you for your answer. --Repf72 (talk) 00:04, 16 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
Ok cool, perfect :) --dingensfünf 13:05, 16 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
