You upload some scary looking pictures, .....but that's a good thing. Penyulap 07:01, 26 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

I like that one, drawn so well. Not scary though, just so very well drawn. Penyulap 01:14, 29 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi Mithril - I see you've made several edits to File:Fagus sylvatica distribution maps.svg. Could you make another, please? The populations in Great Britain [ref: Harris, E. (2002). Quarterly Journal of Forestry 96 (2): 97] and western Norway [ref: Myking, T., et al. (2011). Tree Genetics & Genomes 7 (3): 587-596] are naturalised from human introduction, not native, so need to be removed or given a different colour. I can't do it as I don't have any svg-editing software. Thanks! - MPF (talk) 13:41, 9 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for noticing that. Changing the colour of these area can be done in a few seconds but I'll first communicate to my coathor Tatiana Ivanova. It seems to me that she has some thoughts on the problem. Mithril (talk) 14:08, 9 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
Thanks! If including mapping of naturalised populations, I guess northern Britain and Ireland should also be added. - MPF (talk) 15:12, 9 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
Hm.. Do you mean that beech forests are nowadays scattered all over Ireland and Britain? Mithril (talk) 15:22, 9 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
Yes, well perhaps not large forests, but natural regeneration of seed produced by cultivated trees is widespread and common. - MPF (talk) 15:42, 9 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
