--WarX 11:35, 14 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

You can post only screenshots from Free Software (GPL/BSD/MPL like licenses)...

If you find any screenshots from not free software (eg. made by MS) put {{copyvio}} Template onto them, so we delete it :)

No! Commons has different rules - many things forbidden on commons can be uploaded on en.wiki, couse they allow publishing material based on fair use rule of US law. On commons cannot be such materials.

Screenshots with non-free logos logos

edit

will be deleted, because Firefox and Ubuntu logos are non-free.

Some other screenshots might contain smaller and less important logos, which can probably be removed from the images. There is a discussion on what to do with them.

Wikipedia logo also is non-free, and is only fine to use if you are illustrating, say, an article about Wikipedia. Otherwise, it may be deleted.

I've tagged Image:Image-Firefox_3.0_RC1-Ubuntu_linux-20080530-GNOME_theme.png with “no license”, since nothing in it can be under GFDL. But it hardly has any chance to be free, even after the Firefox logos are removed – mozilla.com ToS says mozilla.com is non-free. --AVRS (talk) 15:42, 21 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
