Goodies, tips, and tricks

You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.
Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.

Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Bu bayrakların iki problemi vardır. Birinci sorun, bildiğiniz gibi o bayrakların büyük bir çoğunluğu tarihî gerçeklere dayanılmadan yapılmış bayraklar olmaları, yani gerçek dışı, bilim dışı. İkinci sorun ise 1969 yılında icat edilmiş olmasıdır. 1969 + 70 = 2039. Umarım sorunları anlatabilmişimdir. Bunun dışında bir konuda danışmak istiyorum. Kürşad kelimesinin Türkçeye sokanın kim olduğunu biliyor musunuz ? Nihal Atsız'dan önce yani. Sizin maddeyi açtığınızı gördüğüm için size sorayım dedim. Sizin sürümünüzde Kürşad 'ın babasının Çuluk Kağan olduğunu yazıyor da o Bozkurtların Ölümü adlı romandaki durumdur. Tuli Kağan'ın kardeşi olan 阿史那結社率 'nin babası aynı zamanda Tuli Kağan'ın da babası olması lazım değil mi ? O zaman babası Şipi Kağan değil midir ? Çula Kağan ve İliğ Kağan, Şipi'nin küçük kardeşleridir. Birde Kara Kağan da roman karakterinin adı değil mi ? Aslında İliğ Kağan olması gerekmiyor mu ? Vaktiniz olduğunda ilgilenirseniz sevineceğim. Kürşad maddesi gerçekten berbat. Kaynaklandırma tamamen yanlış. Alakasız kaynakları alakasız cümleye eklendi. Kürşad çok özgün çalışma olduğu için SAS gösterdim. Roman karakteri anlatan maddesi olarak da yanlış ve abartmalarla dolu. Bundan önce Göktürk kağanlar listesi maddesini düzene sokmaya çalışıyorum. Ancak Türkçe adlarının yazımı sabit değil. Göktürk bayrağı ve Kürşat konusunda doyurucu yanıt veremediğim için üzgünüm. Bildiklerimi özetleyeyim.

Göktürkler döneminden bu güne her hangi bir bayrak kaldığını sanmıyorum. Mavi zemin üzerine kurt başı bir yakıştırma olmalı. Ama böyle bile olsa bu bayrak taslağının dayandığı bir mantık var. Eski Türkler yönleri renklerle ifade ederlerdi. Mavi doğu anlamına gelirdi ve kutsaldı. Hakeza kurt ta kutsal hayvandı. Herhalde bayrakları da (şayet varsa) böyle bir bayraktı. Keşke dosya silinmeden önce biraz daha araştırma fırsatı bulsaydık.

Kürşat gerçek bir kişi . Katıldığı isyan da gerçek. (İngilizce Wiki’de Taizong of Tang maddesi[1] User:Nlu 2007, June 10 ) Fakat ince ayrıntılarını bilemeyiz. Aile bağlantısından emin değilim. Kamuran Gürün’ün hazırladığı soy kütüğünde Çulo’dan sonrası verilmiyor. Nihal Atsız’ın yazdığı roman da bir tarih incelemesi değil.

Türkçe Kürşat maddesini galiba ben başlatmıştım. Eksikleri olan ama etiketlenerek devam edebilecek bir maddeydi. Daha sonra konu iyice dağılmış. Üstelik gramer ve düzen açısından da çok sorunlu. Benim Türkçe Wiki’ye giriş yapmam yasak. Ama siz toparlayabilirsiniz. Öte yandan kaynak sayısı artmış. Bu iyi işaret . En azından kaynaksız etiketinden kurtulabilir.

Bana baba mısınız oğul mu diye sormuşsunuz. Her halde taraf olduğumuz ve hakarete uğradığımız tartışmayı izlemiş olmalısınız. Oğlum ambigram o tartışmadan sonra Wiki’den tamamen koptu. O vakadan dolayı geçmiş olsun diyorum. Sonuçta bir kaza olduğu için ve sizin de oğlunuzun mağduru olduğunuz için süresiz engellenmemeliydi. Kürşad maddesindeki kaynaklandırma keyfîdir maalesef. 九成宮 baskını doğrudur. Fakat Kürşad adı geçmiyor. Akdes Nimet Kurat, Kie-şe-so diye yazar. Şevket Koçsoy adlı biri Kie-şê diye yazar ve bunun Kürşad olduğunu aktarıyor. Ama Kie-şê nedir ? Bence güvenilmez. Göktürk kağanları konusunda Batı Göktürk Kağanlığı maddesinde Yılmaz Öztuna'nın kitabını kaynak gösteriliyor da bunlar doğru mu sizce ? Takabeg (talk) 08:15, 9 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Ama, Türkçe Wikipedia'da kullanılıyor. Ben sadece Women in Turkish politics maddesinde kullanılmak üzere Commons'a aktarılmasını istedim. Şayet copyright problemi varsa zaten Türkçe Wikipedia'da da silinir. Selamlar Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 18:23, 4 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Local wikilerde non free image ler adil kullanım gerekçesiyle yüklenebilir. Fakat Commons'ta adil kullanım dosyaları kabul edilmiyor. Women in Turkish maddesi için gerekçenin adil olduğunu düşünmüyorum (gerç İngilizce Vikideki adil bayağı gevşek olduğu için o fotoyu da sokabilme şansın yüksek :)) ama en:Behice Boran maddesi içinse en:Template:Non-free fair use etiketiyle İngilizce Wikipediyasına yüklenebilir. Dear Wikimedians,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2013 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the eighth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2013) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. The top 30 overall and the most popular image in each category have continued to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just one image to become the Picture of the Year.

Dear Nedim Ardoğa,

The 2013 Picture of the Year competition has ended and we are pleased to announce the results: We shattered participation records this year — more people voted in Picture of the Year 2013 than ever before. In both rounds, 4070 different people voted for their favorite images. Additionally, there were more image candidates (featured pictures) in the contest than ever before (962 images total).

In the first round, 2852 people voted for all 962 files
In the second round, 2919 people voted for the 50 finalists (the top 30 overall and top 2 in each category)

We congratulate the winners of the contest and thank them for creating these beautiful images and sharing them as freely licensed content:

157 people voted for the winner, an image of a lightbulb with the tungsten filament smoking and burning.
In second place, 155 people voted for an image of "Sviati Hory" (Holy Mountains) National Park in Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine.
In third place, 131 people voted for an image of a swallow flying and drinking.

This year will be the tenth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2015) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. In Round 1, there were 1322 candidate images. There are 56 finalists in Round 2, comprised of the top 30 overall as well as the top #1 and #2 from each sub-category. In the final round, you may vote for just one or maximal three image to become the Picture of the Year.

Round 2 will end on 28 May 2016, 23:59:59 UTC.

Merhaba Nedim Ardoğa. Evet doğrudur. 10 yıllık fotolar, aslan heykeli hala orada, yeri değiştirilmiş olabilir ama aynı aslan. Müze binasını değil de aslanı çekmeye çalışmışım cepten, o dönem iyi telefondu:) Keşke daha iyi fotolarım olsaydı elimdekilerin hepsini yüklemişim. İki sorum olacak. Yarışmacılar yarışmaya tek fotoğrafla mı yoksa diledikleri sayıda fotoğrafla mı katılabilirler ? Merhaba Nedim Ardoğa, istediğiniz kadar fotoğrafla katılınabilir hiçbir sıkıntı yok. Yükleme ile ilgili normal yükleme işlemleri başlangıcı yerine şuradaki fotoğraf makinesi ikonlarını kullanarak yükleme yaparsanız, sistem tüm şablon ve kategorilendirmeyi kendisi otomatik olarak yapmakta. Sadece koruma alanlarını ayrı ayrı yüklemenizi tavsiye ederim, yani Göreme'yi ayrı bir seferde, Aladağlar Milli Parkı ayrı ayrı fotoğraf makinesi ikonlarını kullanarak yaparsanız en kolay yolu olacaktır. Anıtlar kategorisinde Mersin Mut Anıt Zeytin Ağacı, sulak alanlarda da Burdur Salda Gölü ile Isparta Eğirdir Gölü'nün yokluğu dikkatimi çekti. (Ayrıca bir çok ırmak ta bu kategoriye girebilir.) Liste yapılırken tarım ve orman bakanlığının Alanlar Listesi/1-MİLLİ PARKLAR.pdf şu, Alanlar Listesi/2-TABİAT PARKLARI.pdf şu, Alanlar Listesi/3-TABİAT ANITLARI.pdf şu, Alanlar Listesi/4-TABİAT KORUMA ALANLARI.pdf şu, Alanlar Listesi/5-SULAK ALANLAR.pdf şu ve Alanlar Listesi/6-YABAN HAYATI GELİŞTİRME SAHALARI.pdf şu listeleri kullandık. Sizin eksik gördüğünüz eksikler linklerini verdiğim listelerde varsa hemen ekleme yapabiliriz , malum bazen gözden kaçabiliyor. Bir sıkıntı olmaması açısından resmi listeleri kullanmak durumundayız.
