Wikimedia's SVG to PNG renderer messing up the colorsEdit

It seems like wikimedia's SVG to PNG convertor is experiencing some issues. It is converting certain colors on a background to black. See:

The rectangular boxes on the far right hand side should not be black. Here is what the original uploaded SVG image looks like: Saqibali (talk) 19:43, 19 September 2011 (UTC)

Fine ;-), the files maybe could be optimized a bit more. Maybe font as real text? -- πϵρήλιο 19:01, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
I correct me it's (seems now) another bug, s. Bugzilla:31122. -- πϵρήλιο 18:58, 22 October 2011 (UTC)

Broken SVG-filesEdit

A lot of SVG-files in this category seem to be broken with stuff that should be removed. Who can do that? See: Category:Population pyramids of counties of Illinois - Thanks! Romaine (talk) 17:50, 5 October 2011 (UTC)

From what I can tell, it's an RSVG font bug (see above on this page, at meta:Talk:SVG fonts etc.) rather than with the SVG files themselves. AnonMoos (talk) 21:52, 5 October 2011 (UTC)

Can someone fix File:Agijo-annai01.svg? I am not sure what is wrong. --Jarekt (talk) 16:00, 12 October 2011 (UTC)

Why 3 links? :-P 1. Please avoid unnecessary embendding of Bitmaps 2. Font embendding is not supported 3. Own ENTITY embendding is not supported. -- πϵρήλιο 20:03, 12 October 2011 (UTC)

SVG with embedded SVGEdit

My question to the point: is wikimedia tolerant to the SVG file with (also uploaded to wikimedia) embedded SVG file when librsvg generate the PNG?

As a matter of fact we want to use colorless background SVG map for base map, and this used in different articles with suitable styling (thickening lines, vivid colours etc). This method advantageous when something changes on the base map, the changes will update to all derivatived map. Problem with practical examples: uploaded SVG with embedded SVG on wikimedia is OK (notice in the source: base map is embedded in SVG file), but the same file on huwiki shows nothing. Can you help? Or the idea is inherently bad? Excuse for my very poor english, thanks JolietJake (Hu) (talk) 17:47, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
