I'm not sure why it's not sharp since this is a very sharp lens on a high quality camera on a tripod using manual focus, but I am guessing the wind caused some vibrations in the tripod during the 13 s exposure. As for exposure/noise, I increased the shadow detail using curves from the raw image to a significant degree; short of doing exposure bracketing HDR, there is no other way to have this level of shadow detail without entirely blowing out highlights. I may reattempt the shot tonight to see if I can get better results and have more luck with the wind-induced tripod vibrations. Thanks again!       Thanks for the review. I didn't correct the distortions or tilt in these images since it was to be used in a panorama anyway. I'm not sure why it's not sharp since this is a very sharp lens on a high quality camera on a tripod using manual focus, but I am guessing the wind caused some vibrations in the tripod during the 13 s exposure. As for exposure/noise, I increased the shadow detail using curves from the raw image to a significant degree; short of doing exposure bracketing HDR, there is no other way to have this level of shadow detail without entirely blowing out highlights. I may reattempt the shot tonight to see if I can get better results and have more luck with the wind-induced tripod vibrations. Thanks again! Dllu 21:31, 18 July 2015 (UTC)
