This page lists the people involved in organizing the 2013 competition and in helping out. Volunteers are needed for all sections listed below. Please add your name if you would like to join us! By helping with the organization, you will not be excluding yourself from later participation in the contest.

Steering committee

Volunteers should be generally available between May and September (holidays are allowed), and have sufficient time to make a significant contribution to the competition. Regular phone meetings of the committee will probably be needed.

Technical team

Set up and maintain tools including upload tool for contestants, import and use of databases of official records

Website team

Set up and maintain official UK website at wikilovesmonuments.org.uk

Pre-screening team

Pre-screen the entries during September, to reduce the numbers that need to be reviewed in detail by the three-person jury

Public relations team

Seek community participation; advertise the competition; seek partners and sponsors for prizes; outreach generally

Local events team

Organize local events programme (around the country), and official awards ceremony
