Be bold contributing here and assume good faith for the intentions of others. This is a wiki - it is really easy. More information is available at the Community Portal. You may ask questions at the Help desk, Village Pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons. You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. Image deletion warning | Image:PICT0156.JPG has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. If the file is up for deletion because it has been superseded by a superior derivative of your work, consider the notion that although the file may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new file. |

- Bad names, duplicates,... can be speedily deleted, see here. There is no need to start a deletion discussion procedure in obvious cases. In this case a {{badname|Image:JR-West Sugimotocho Station.JPG}} would have worked much faster. -- Cecil 01:33, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
- OK, thank you for your appropriate information. Hanabi123 02:22, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
Hello, and thank your for sharing your files with Commons. There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. Please remember that all uploads require source, author and license information. Could you please resolve these problems, which are described on the page linked in above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. Thank you. Siebrand 01:14, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
- Corrected. Thank you. Hanabi123 02:28, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

using your image for commercial educational use?
editHi Hanabi123
My name is David Moratto, I'm a graphic book designer. I am designing an Archaeology Photography book that will be used as part of workshops in schools in Toronto, Ontario Canada. The workshops are for teaching new Archaeologists the fundamentals for taking proper Archaeology Photographs and the basics/knowledge for camera use. The book will be designed for my client Dr. Zissis Parras who will be the teacher for these workshops.
I would like to use your photograph (Olympus_E-3_cut) or (E-30-Cutmodel) to be used in the book as an example on how a digital camera works.
Here are the links to your images:
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Olympus_E-3_cut.jpg
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/8e/E-30-Cutmodel.jpg
My Question is: May I use one of those images for commercial educational use? And if so: In what way must I attribute your work. (Their will be an acknowledgment page at the end of the book that will reference all materials that were used in the book to their respected owners).
Thank you

- Hi David,
- thank you for your interest. At first, I have only little knowledge about the problem of the copyright. But if you can use my nickname "Hanabi123" on the acknowledgment page, there is no problem. If possible, I'd like to have a copy. If you have another problem, please talk here. Hanabi123 (talk) 04:27, 4 October 2009 (UTC)
