Please give images good descriptions

I noticed you've uploaded Image:Liège (8).JPG and I thought I should turn your attention to a common error.
Please give some thought to writing a good description of uploaded images. This ensures that they can be used in more than one way. It also helps those that review and improve categories do a better job, which also ensures that images will get used in novel and interesting ways. Beschrijvingen + categorieën

Hallo, eerst nog eens het commentaar van hierboven herhalen. Wil je aub een goede omschrijving (best ook in engels, eventueel in FR/NL) bij je uploads geven? Zoniet staan de afbeeldingen hier verloren: een wildvreemde kan onmogelijke weten wat er juist op een afbeelding te zien is, zelfs een beknopte titel is vaak onduidelijk. Een beschrijving is dus redelijk essentieel ;-)

Een tweede puntje: het is heel handig om categorieën aan je afbeeldingen toe te voegen. Bv. de category:Vladslo zou bij die afbeeldingen van het duits militair kerkhof + het treurende ouderpaar etc mogen. Bovendien zouden categorieën als militaire kerkhoven in belgië, standbeelden in belgië, etc... er ook bij mogen (het is soms wel even rondzoeken eer je de goede categorieën vind). Ik zal het seffes voor deze van Vladslo doen. Als alles een beschrijving en bovendien een aantal goede, to the point categorieën heeft, zal je zien dat je afbeeldingen beter in een context passen, en voor geïnteresseerde lezers ook makkelijker terug te vinden zullen zijn. Zonder beschrijving en een categorie vind niemand je afbeeldingen terug, en dat is ook de bedoeling niet dacht ik ;-) Groeten --LimoWreck 21:11, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
