Partly to say I take it you have followed this thread too? I'm learning quite a bit even if I am not sure what the answer is :).

Das Einbinden des Links war für mich etwas tricky, da die Standardverlinkung ins englische Wiktionary zu führen scheint. deprecated function in your monobook.js

Dear user, I noticed that you use the includePage function in your monobook.js page.

This function is now obsolete, as the importScript function was introduced with rev:35064 to the MediaWiki Javascript core library wikibits.js. It also keeps track of already imported files.

Desbloqueo de wikiquote en español

Hola spacebirdy, veo que tienes los botones para borrar, desbloquear, etc...en wikiquote. Por ello te pido que me desbloquees please de wikiquote en español, ya que estuve añadiendo textos extensos sin autor como en la página Madrid y utilicé alguna otra cuenta aunque no todas las que se me imputan haber utilizado, y por ello me bloquearon. Por ello, te pido que ya que ha pasado un año de esto, me desbloquees de allí. Ahora, entendiendo las normas de no añadir textos sin autor, ya no lo voy a hacer. Los bloqueos en Wikiquote en español de las cuentas del usuario que utiliza, entre otros, el nombre de Citadme están justificados por un largo historial de infracciones que ha continuado a lo largo de este año. How to request a category deletion?

Hi Space ... thanks for deleting the Haas Candy Factory photo for me. I did some category organizing yesterday and I moved the only photo that was in Category:Octagon House to Category:Octagon houses. I did my best to follow the instructions for proposing the now empty category for deletion, but I'm not sure that I did it properly since it seems to have been skipped over at Commons:Deletion requests/2008/05/27#Category:Octagon House. The guidelines for proposing deletions seem geared toward the deletion of files, not categories. Do you know if there's a different process for proposing a category for deletion (as I think there is at Wikipedia)? Thanks for the feedback. I think that the user who created the category that I proposed to delete just didn't through what he/she was doing. I think they intended to create a subcategory for a particular octagon house in Washington, DC (this one). But since there are octagon houses in a lot of places, it would have made better sense to create a subcat called "Octagon House (Washington, DC)" as was done for "Octagon House (Barrington, IL)". As there's only one photo of the house in DC, I don't think it makes sense for it to have its own category. Anyways, hopefully someone will get around to deleting the empty category since it's likely to cause some confusion for people categorizing photos of octagon houses. Hola Spacebirdy, quería pedirte el favor de que si tienes los botones para destruir páginas en wikiquote en español, procedas a destruir mi página de usuario, ya que tengo derecho a que no estén exponiéndome a oprobio público y falsedades, ya que han habido muchos vándalos creando cuentas y me las han puesto o atribuido a mí todas como si hubiera sido yo quien las hubiera creado cuando es falso. Es por cuestión de dignidad y para que haya paz definitivamente. No es justo que me atribuyan todas esas cuentas cuando es falso que hayan sido creadas por mí muchas de ellas. Deseo la destrucción de mi página de usuario y tengo derecho a ello, Algunos de estos administradores disfrutan de desproveer de dignidad a los usuarios y parece que como si uno estuviera preso y encima me están torturando constantemente. Dear Spacebird,

as an admin you should know, that you should not make speedy delete request for perfectly fine images. If you have some real argument based on a copyright issue than make a normal deletion request.

Dear ALE!, whatever You think is acceptable or not does not matter, I marked the files for speedy deletion because they are out of scope and attack images, which is a speedy deletion criteria. If you think a mistake was made, then all the more reason to discuss the issues in a deletion request, as I did in two undeletion requests where I thought a mistake had been made. I don't think I've ever disagreed with you before, but I must say I disagree with you here, both in terms of the substantive issues, and in terms of your actions. Speedy deletion is for uncontroversial requests & I think it is inappropriate to request speedy deletion when the deletion would be controversial. Since I have more important things to do in my life and from what I have seen in these discussions now, I don't think any more deletion requests will do any good, I have thought this was uncontroversial, see the reasoning in my statement below, that issue it is really closed for me, sorry I don't have time for 300kB of discussions, I consider my time too precious and I am not the person who has the aim to change peoples minds, I respect people as they are, I have made my point clear, if it is not understood or/and not accepted I will not have a problem with it and live on, with taking my conclusions of it and learning from it. Statement about anti-country images

Hate and disrespect for people from other countries is quite widespread and in minds even accepted. This is why I am not surprised these images survive on Commons too, but I wanted to make it clear that I am not part of this.

What is wrong with these images:
Normally attack images (for example attack images on users) are deleted although one could argument that they could be perfectly used to show for example special effects for a graphic program.
If there was a photo about someone burning a flag, that would be no problem, because it would show reality, and these images would be used on eg. Wikinews etc.
The striked flag images are attack images made extra for this purpose, and just like with other attack images, I personally think the purpose does matter. And besides of some being ugly (some people have never heard anything about symmetry) out of scope.

Thinking about writing me here about my deletion requests? Think twice, You will not hear anything more than this or this, this, and this about this matter. There are other criterias for deletion than copyrightviolation, so please try not to teach me. This matter was closed for me long ago already and I have made my conclusions about it and nothing to add than repeating what I already said.

Please approve my image

My image was recently deleted as you stated it was a copyrighted image. I am new to wikipedia and wikimedia but this image is one in which I created -- I am the graphic artist -- and would like to use the image for my wikipedia page. The image is of a book cover and I am creating the book's wikipedia. Please approve this image to be used. Maybe I am selecting the wrong licensing from the drop-down menu, but this image is my image: PublicityStuntTheArtOfNoise.png.

Mutter Erde

I know this is probably canvassing, but I wanted to relate my feelings on this matter, and why he should be banned for the year at least, if not longer.

First off, as we know, ME is banned indefinitely from both the English and the German wikipedias for his incivility. Now, I know we don't usually care what en does, and we try not to judge people by their actions away from Commons, but when not one but TWO projects ban him for the same thing, that is something we should take notice of. I am in no doubt that both en and de instituted RfCs, numerous discussions and the like, and at the end of it all, ME is here and doing the same thing he was doing there. He has been warned about his behaviour multiple times before, and has shown no willingness to change. Even through this whole process he has been utterly unrepentant and hostile to everyone who disagrees with him. It wouldn't matter if we banned him for five minutes or five months, he doesn't understand that his threatening behaviour is not acceptable here, nor any other project, and he never will. If we ban him for any length of time short of indefinitely, he will come back with the same attitude, and we will have the same discussions AGAIN, with the same people saying that the good outweighs the bad.

I believe in second chances. But I don't believe we should just give chance after chance. ME has had numerous chances over several projects to change his behaviour, and it has come to nought. It's time we finally just banned him for good.

I respectfully disagree in this case. Firstly I have read comments of Mutter Erde lately I do agree with, they are just too true, sadly, secondly I don't think that bans on other projects should be of influence in this case, since he is not a simple crosswiki vandal but doing mostly good work in the wiki.

Furthermore I politely disagree not only with the length, the reason given and that it was "everyones" decision, but also with a block when there is a block-discussion still going on - imho he should not be blocked during it.

He might deserve a block, but if he continues like lately and does not calm down a bit, he might achieve this fairly easily himself, with the "spitting in everyones face who lends him a hand" - behaviour due driving off all people who would have spoken up for him.

In general I unfortunately have the feeling that the tone here got more rough not only from Mutter Erde, but also from other users and probably everyone needs to make one step back and (re)gain insight about his behaviour and what this project and our (hopefully) collaborative work here is for.

On the other hand I have learned somethings about some users I do now respect even more than before, since they showed to have an upright character and take slaps in their faces without getting impolite, unfair or revengefully. I am grateful for that.
