Image deletion warning | Image:Kelly-clarkson-live-in-geelong.JPG has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. If the file is up for deletion because it has been superseded by a superior derivative of your work, consider the notion that although the file may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new file. |
Re: Busted Flickr uploads
editThanks for the message. I think that Commons was broken temporarily. I can't reproduce it, so I guess it's just bad luck. Cheers, -- Bryan (talk to me) 11:33, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
Quibble about your nice Pt Henry pic
editSouth of Pt Henry is Clifton Springs! I'd say your view is more like west. Greglocock 02:32, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. West with a tiny bit of south in it. ;-) Wongm 02:59, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
A note in passing

Unauthorised uploads
editHey there.
I've noticed that someone had uploaded three of your photos (I presume) onto the repository: File:F127 9791.jpg, File:F124 0724.jpg and File:F126 2919.jpg. They were all tagged with {{Cc-by-sa-4.0}}, but your website (linked in the description pages of each file) did not specifiy such a licence or another free licence, leading me to believe that the photos are still copyrighted. As per the licensing policy, they should be deleted ASAP unless you consent to keep them on Commons with the stated licence (or another compatible one if you so choose). – Pizza1016 (talk | contribs) 22:21, 21 April 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads up - will tag them for deletion. Wongm (talk) 02:09, 29 April 2019 (UTC)

Uploading some photos from your website to Wikimedia Commons
editHi @Wongm. I'm the guy from Reddit the other day who asked if you could upload some of your photos to Wikimedia Commons. I am currently working on the article about Armadale railway station in Melbourne and was wondering if you could please upload the following photos from your website:
- Permanent fence now in place around the Acrow props at Armadale
- Steel frame retains the crumbing parapet of the kiosk above Armadale station platform 1
- Heritage styled platform shelter on at Armadale station platform 1
Side note- classic state government instead of fixing the problem they just chuck up a fence and call it a day 🙄
Thanks in advance for uploading the photos. In the future, I could upload the photos for you, obviously attaching the appropriately licence, crediting you, and providing a proper description. All good if you'd prefer not to but just a suggestion as I wouldn't want to piss you off with plenty of requests. HoHo3143 (talk) 13:23, 23 April 2023 (UTC)
- I've uploaded those three photos - you can find them here:

- @Wongm thanks for uploading these- much appreciated. I'll let you know if I need anymore photos in the future. HoHo3143 (talk) 03:49, 24 April 2023 (UTC)

Thank you in advance! HoHo3143 (talk) 07:34, 1 May 2023 (UTC)
- @HoHo3143: I know you're currently busy with life and have very small time to contribute to Wikipedia or Wikimedia Commons, but I'll do a favour for you. I plan to eventually go to Gardiner station and take more photos for the Wikipedia article. I intend to update most railway station article by adding more images that it doesn't already have. Maybe once you're available again, you could place the images to the sections you would like to place them at? PEPSI697 (talk) 11:26, 10 October 2024 (UTC)

Permission to upload some of your photos from your rail gallery website to Wikimedia Commons
editHello @Wongm, I'm PEPSI697. I would like to have your permission if I could upload some of your images from your rail gallery website to Wikimedia Commons, I assume it's ok since @HoHo3143 originally asked you and you said yes? Anyway, I maintain the railway station Wikipedia articles in Melbourne and noticed some article don't have enough images, mainly stations that were formerly ground level and rebuilt by the LXRP. Currently, I'm using my Wikipedia user sandbox page to expand the Glen Huntly railway station article.
I'll upload them myself if you say yes, but will credit you and notify you on this talk page here.
These images will only be used for educational purposes only in the Wikipedia articles.
If the images are uploaded if you say yes, the image titles will be similar to the website.
Here is the following that I would like to upload if you say yes:
- Third track still in place over Glen Huntly Road, but out of use (south view)
- Third track still in place over Glen Huntly Road, but out of use (north view)
- Only platform 2 and 3 still in service at Glenhuntly
- X'Trapolis 116M arrives into Glenhuntly on the up
- Deep excavation underway on the east side of Glenhuntly station
- Track removed from Glenhuntly platform 1 so works can proceed on the future low level station (south view)
- Track removed from Glenhuntly platform 1 so works can proceed on the future low level station (north view)
- X'Trapolis 123M and 66M cross the tram square at Glenhuntly on the down
Thanks. PEPSI697 (talk) 11:19, 10 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, I've uploaded a few of the photos myself for you - can find them at Category:Glenhuntly_railway_station,_Melbourne
