Anthony Padilla & James Rallison Image
editHi there,
The image of Anthony Padilla and James Rallison has been flagged for no permission given, within the video, Anthony and James give permission and ask for the image to be changed on TheOdd1sOut Wikipedia page. If you want me to link the video I’ll be more than happy to do so. Thanks Ralph Ralph81562 (talk) 09:24, 13 November 2021 (UTC)
- You need to specify that then. The CC-BY-3.0 YouTube template implies the uploader uploaded the video under that license which does not appear to be the case here. Even then, I am not 100% sure if that is enough unless they specifically say “I am releasing this to the public domain” or “I am releasing this image under this specific Creative Commons license”. As it is, sometimes people releasing their own stuff to Commons still need to send an email to confirm. So start with linking to where the permission is and then we can go from there. Adin Ross image
editHey, would something in the source of the Adin Ross image like "Original video Archive version showing permission" be good for permission? Since it shows that he did give permission at one point? Reppop (talk) 21:01, 22 November 2021 (UTC)
- Oh yeah that’s completely fine, I was unaware the permission was there at one point. I’ll remove the tag and add that. CAMERAwMUSTACHE (talk) 23:46, 22 November 2021 (UTC)
- Ok, thanks. Reppop (talk) 00:08, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
Simple logos
editPlease note that simple logos, such as File:Mercury Nashville Logo blk.png, are ineligible for copyright protection and should not be tagged as copyvio. See COM:TOO US for a guide on how to determine whether a logo is simple for the purposes of US law. If it is a borderline case, you should file a regular deletion request instead of tagging for speedy deletion. -- King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 19:41, 11 January 2023 (UTC)
- Someone should still correct the credits to state that then. This user claims they created the logos and if true, they're not official logos. CAMERAwMUSTACHE (talk) 19:43, 11 January 2023 (UTC)
- Errors in the description should be fixed through editing, not through deletion, unless the errors would cause the file to be non-free. Feel free to make the corrections yourself. -- King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 19:59, 11 January 2023 (UTC)
