The Jakob Spett map of the linguistic situation in eastern Germany in 1910

For what it's worth, there is already another, better, clearer copy of the Jakob Spett map that you posted; here is this copy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:National_map_of_eastern_provinces_of_German_Reich_based_on_official_census_of_1910.jpg
If the Jakob Spett map is indeed in the public domain (and it was already 77 years since his death), I would think that it would be prudent to give greater priority to the better and clearer version of his map than to the less clear version that you uploaded.

I think the version I uploaded has a better choice of colours. I can upload a larger size of the same version. Check also my description, I provided links to both versions:
