File:Lo'renzo Hill-White.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

Thanks for asking about this, I will try to help you resolve all issues. First -- are you the photographer, Daniel Stuckey? It's important to have confidence that both the photographer and the subject have consented to the file's use here; and Commons policies for each are a little unique. For the photographer the standards are a bit higher: we need a very clear and credible assertion that the license is valid.
- Photographer permission (copyright)
- The best way to proceed is for the photographer (whether or not it is you) to send an email with clearly asserted information, following the instructions here. (If you are Daniel, you might be able to do it more simply another way; I'll watch for your answer here.)
I am not Daniel, though he is a personal friend and I can ask him to send an email formally granting permission for use of the photo.
- Subject permission (personality rights)
- Did you or the photographer ask Lo'renzo if he consents to broad publication of the photo online? Again, I'll come back for your answer and advise on the best way to take care of it. -Pete F (talk) 19:19, 16 December 2013 (UTC)
Both the photographer and I have asked Lo'renzo for permission to use this photo on Wikimedia Commons as well as on his Wikipedia page. Lo'renzo has consented to use of this photo.
Thank you for the information. Please let me know if there is any additional information or instructions to keep this photo hosted on Wikimedia Commons beyond having the photographer email permission. - Ersake
- OK, we should be able to get everything settled then. I would advise that when the photographer sends the email, he add the following text at the bottom:
- Lo'renzo Hill-White told me that he consented to have this photograph widely published on the Internet.
- That should do the trick. I will try to watch this and update the page as needed when the email comes in; but if you have any trouble, feel free to contact me on my talk page. -Pete F (talk) 19:58, 16 December 2013 (UTC)
- I found your email, and updated the file accordingly. All set! Thanks for sending that over promptly. -Pete F (talk) 20:55, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you, Peteforsyth! --Ersake (talk) 21:20, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
