Goodies, tips, and tricks Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities. You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads. Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Thanks for your contributions of historic images of Iowa. However, I question whether this image is of La Porte City. The downtown area today does not have a building over two stories, and a couple of the buildings shown here are significantly higher. I tried to figure out what city this is, but I struck out. It was also taken much later than 1910. Farragutful (talk) 21:22, 13 April 2021 (UTC)

Dear Farragutful I want to thank you so much for catching the error!! I'm hoping you get this message, I don't know how to leave a message, I just spent 15 minutes trying to respond to you and so I'm hoping this gets to you. My students made a mistake in selecting the wrong image. Hopefully we have a correct image of La Porte City now! question about FI0002552.jpg - is this really Mona?

The photo that is identified as Mona, Iowa makes me doubt the accuracy of the label. There is a building on the left that looks like a church, maybe a school. That is nothing like the only church that has ever stood in Mona. Pete unseth (talk) 22:28, 4 February 2023 (UTC)
