Tour de France 2008 edit
Thanks for the profiles for stages 1 - 9. Are you planning to create them for the remaining stages? [1] --Bikeroo (talk) 22:28, 10 July 2008 (UTC)(talk) 22:27, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
Yes i have created stages 10 to 17 already, i only have to upload them yet. I will create the last stages as soon as possible. --Grimmy (talk) 12:28, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

- Hi again - will you be creating profiles for the last four stages - they have been requested here. Thanks for the good work. Bikeroo (talk) 04:13, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Tour de France etappe 16 edit
Hello, there is an error in this image "Col de la Bombarde" must be replaced by "col de la Lombarde". can you correct it ? Thanks. Dingy (talk) 17:03, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
- Uploaded the good one. I mistyped it, Bombarde is a cooler name though. --Grimmy (talk) 18:58, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
Vuelta a Espana edit
Hi, I'm User:Nosleep at en.wikipedia. Are you going to make free-use profiles for the Vuelta like you did for the Tour? There are profile images on the Vuelta's website, so I can't imagine it would be too much trouble (unless the ones from a few weeks ago were bothersome, I don't know).
Tip: Categorizing images edit
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.
[[Category:Category name]]
For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:
[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]
This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.BotMultichillT 05:57, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Heey Grimmy,
Nice pictures you make from the tour etappe's In File:Etappe6 - 2009.svg there is a little mistake, the last sprint is set at 159 km, that has to be 132,5.

Your account will be renamed edit
Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Grimmy. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Grimmy~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
