You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? OER Logos

Hello Jonathan. As I said on the OER Logos page

"I don't think it is fair to relegate the most commonly used logos to a category called "Previous Logo Versions" and moving them to the end of a enormously long list. If this page wishes to be a representation of the UNESCO OER logos, then the title should be changed. Otherwise, as OER is a community endeavor, all logos should get equal attention."

If you don't mind, I will undo your latest edit so that all logos are given a fair shake on a page titled "Open Educational Resources." Thanks! Greg G (talk) 20:33, 26 March 2012 (UTC)

Hi Greg, Thanks for your interest in helping out with the logos, but some points need to be clarified for better understanding: 1. The logos are not an UNESCO initiative, but a set of OER initiatives as Wikieducator, OER University, national OER organizations and so on. Unesco is adopting it for the next OER events cause the team that is in charge of OER in UNESCO recognized value in a worldwide logo. The whole process of design and now the translations are being done "with the crowd" through pages like this: http://wikieducator.org/UNESCO_OER_logo_translations and this http://www.wsis-community.org/pg/groups/14358/open-educational-resources-oer/ besides discussions in email groups. So it would be unfair to all the volunteers call it UNESCO logos.

2. The intention with the new set of logos is to privilege a worldwide version which makes able to represent OER in all languages and not only in English as the original design (which was curiously designed by a German designer, who didn't thought about OER in German :) )

Instead of undo work let's enhance it, to achieve a commons understanding. I will put the rounded logo with the English version, so it will be fair if any other language have its own version as well. Cheers!

Thanks for that clarification from 1, that is really awesome. Regarding the second point, I think that is also laudible, but I don't believe we should be abandoning widely used logos to the way side on a page that is titled "Open Educational Resources." I want to be inclusionist intead of exclusionist. I understand the desire for internationalization and want more of it, but, again, we shouldn't remove logos that are widely used from a page that should represent all logos. Please re-add those logos that I added to that page where ever you feel they should live on it. Thanks! Greg G (talk) 21:31, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
