Goodies, tips, and tricks Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities. You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads. Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Lanesboro photos

Thank you for the feedback on my work and for the photos you contributed. As you can see, I didn't have a very good camera 11 years ago (and perhaps not much skill as a photographer) but I can't delete that photo. Once I upload it and people use it, it isn't in my control to do so.

What I would suggest, especially if you are still in Lanesboro, is that you take a better photo of the Sons of Norway building in good light when there are not people or cars in front of it, and upload that to Commons. If you do, I'll replace all uses of my old photo with your new one. It's one of many lovely buildings in a great town. Jonathunder (talk) 04:28, 29 April 2017 (UTC)

The only Wikimedia project using the old Sons of Norway photo was the Norwegian (Bokmål) Wikipedia, which I have edited to use your new one. I sent a feedback request to Google suggesting they use a better photo of Lanesboro, but I honestly don't know how responsive they are. Jonathunder (talk) 20:26, 2 May 2017 (UTC)

Thanks so much for the great photos of Lanesboro. If you wouldn't mind another suggestion: I recently realized how few really good photos of phone booths there are on Commons, and some of those used in articles are frankly not great.
