Welcome to Wikimedia Commons, Milstead!

Thank you for uploading the beautiful photos! edit

The photos are truly remarkable, and among folks who have uploaded large groups of photos, your collection looks to be among the best, perhaps the best. There are some difficulties however, which can all be overcome, but three things we'll have to deal with are:

  • the watermark RuralSWAlabama.org might have to be removed or may cause the file to be deleted.
  • the copyright status on Flickr doesn't match the license here - we'll just have to make sure you understand the license and that the right person has given approval
  • Your username would likely be rejected if you try to edit on Wikipedia (rather than Commons) as a group ID. On Commons groups or institution are allowed - indeed encouraged - to upload, but there are a couple of formalities that need to be taken care of.

I'll try to contact you through your website, or you can contact me on my talk page (just click "talk" after my signature).

Thanks again for uploading - I hope our rules won't prevent these photos - or others you submit - to be a problem,

Sincerely,

Smallbones (talk) 22:23, 16 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

NOTE: I've made e-mail contact and all these difficulties look like they can be easily resolved. Smallbones (talk) 15:51, 17 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for participating in Wiki Loves Monuments 2012!

Dear Milstead,
Thank you for contributing to Wiki Loves Monuments 2012, and for sharing your pictures with the whole world!

Thanks to the participation of people like you, the contest gathered more than 350,000 pictures of cultural heritage objects from 36 countries around the world, becoming the largest photography competition to have ever taken place.

You can find all your pictures in your upload log, and are of course very welcome to keep uploading images and help develop Wikimedia Commons, even though you will not be able to win more prizes (just yet).

If you'd like to start editing relevant Wikipedia articles and share your knowledge with other people, please go to the Wikipedia Welcome page for more information, guidance, and help.

To make future contests even more successful than this year, we would like to invite you to share your experiences with us in a short survey. Please fill in this short survey in your own language, and help us learn what you liked and didn't like about Wiki Loves Monuments 2012.

Kind regards,

the Wiki Loves Monuments team
