Hi Mintaka, welcome to the Commons! Nice photos. Here's some tips:

• When you use template:information, if you took the photo yourself you can put "self made" or "own work" in the 'Source' field. For 'Permission', you can just say "I release this under the GNU Free Documentation License" or a similar statement.
• Don't forget to add categories to your images, or add them to gallery pages! This is really important so that other people will be able to find your work later. If you can add species information for animals and plants, that is fantastic. (You can often find this information on Wikipedia.) If you don't know the exact species, you can add it to a subcategory of Category:Unknown species.

This is a neuroptera or lace wing, not a mayfly

The photograph is outstanding! The lace wings are beautiful little predators, but this is definately a green lace wing (determined by wing patten, not by colour). This small predatory insects eat other insects. They lay their eggs on fine threads, well hidden on plants.
