Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Parlamentsspiegel Kanton Waadt

Hallo Numerus Klausus. Ich habe deine tollen Parlamentsspiegel gesehen, welche sich in beinahe jedem Kanton befinden. Dem Kanton Waadt fehlt dieser leider noch. Könntest du aufgrund dieser Quelle (Seite 6) einen solchen, analog z.B. File:Parlamentsspiegel Zürich 2007.svg, erstellen? Wir hätten dann auch eine gewisse Vereinheitlichung gewahrt. Wähleranteil Nationalratswahlen

Hallo Numerus Klausus!

Da du die Daten für das Bild zum Wähleranteil bei den Nationalratswahlen bestimmt nicht einfach so auswendig gewusst hast, wäre es sinnvoll, bei den Quellen anzugeben, woher du die Daten hast. So kann man auch beurteilen, ob die Daten verlässlich sind oder nicht. (Ich gehe mal davon aus sie sind es, da die Daten vermutlich vom BfS stammen, oder?) Die Daten sollten vom Bundesamt für Statistik stammen. Aktuelle Daten inkl. 2015: https://www.bfs.admin.ch/bfs/de/home/statistiken/politik/wahlen/nationalratswahlen/parteistaerken.assetdetail.217191.html Ich frage mich allerdings womit das Diagramm gemacht wurde? Zum einen wäre es toll, wenn das hier angesprochene Bild aktualisiert werden könnte und zum anderem würde sich die Grafik auch andersweitig anbieten (Kantonsparlamente, usw.). --Gaeger (talk) 20:22, 9 November 2018 (UTC)

Abbildung weiterhin PD?

Hallo, jemand hat in deiner Abbildung zu Sitzverteilung im Bundesrat Anfang 2010 vandaliert, indem er die Lizenzangabe PD self entfernt hat. Später hast du eine neue Version der Datei hochgeladen. Ich habe jetzt die Lizenz wieder eingefügt und möchte von dir eine kurze Bestätigung, dass sie wirklich aus Versehen fehlte und weiterhin in deinem Sinne ist.
