Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content). You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki. More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump. |

Thanks for uploading File:Onur Demirsoy.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). Warning: unless the permission information is given, the file may be deleted after seven days. Thank you. |

- Hi Onur! Thank you very much for contributing your works! To protect "anybody" grabbing your works from your deviant art homepage and uploading them here, please send an email confirming your identity. Or please put a not on your deviant art profile mentioning your user name User:Onurdemirsoy here. If you have questions please just reply below. :-) Cheers --Saibo (Δ) 20:56, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
- Okay - now I did see the license at the source. Longer explanation below. Cheers --Saibo (Δ) 02:40, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
- File:OnurDemirsoyPortre3.jpg, even if it is your artwork, the copyright for the covers probably belongs to the publisher. --Tony Wills (talk) 00:30, 7 June 2011 (UTC)

- Hi again Onur, please do not remove the "no permission" tag unless there is a proof of permission. Please read what I have written above. Cheers --Saibo (Δ) 01:15, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
- Hi Onur, it is okay now! Sorry, I did not see the license at the source website there as it is hidden without JavaScript enabled. Just write a bit more - then we all understand each other better. :-) Cheers --Saibo (Δ) 02:34, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
The real Onur Demirsoy? edit
HI, I've had a look at all the websites referenced in the article about Onur Demirsoy, nice work :-). If you really are the real Onur, it would be good if you sent a message to the OTRS system as mentioned above, and let them know that this usercode is authorized to distribute these images (it may save a lot of trouble in later years). It would be nice if you also released at least one image of your work to put in the articles and created a userpage for yourself here or on the other wikis. If you are not actually Onur, but just a fan, that is fine so long as the images are properly licensed at the source sites that they come from. Thanks :-) --Tony Wills (talk) 06:21, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
