Naming the files edit

Hello!
Thanks for your wonderful contribution of images to Wikimedia Commons.
But please consider naming your files with more appropriate names than using alpha-numeric codes. Most likely, users here would search the images by the names of the monuments and not by the number assigned by the Archaeological Survey of India. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 14:35, 1 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for participating in Wiki Loves Monuments 2012!

Dear Rashmi.parab,
Thank you for contributing to Wiki Loves Monuments 2012, and for sharing your pictures with the whole world!

Thanks to the participation of people like you, the contest gathered more than 350,000 pictures of cultural heritage objects from 36 countries around the world, becoming the largest photography competition to have ever taken place.

You can find all your pictures in your upload log, and are of course very welcome to keep uploading images and help develop Wikimedia Commons, even though you will not be able to win more prizes (just yet).

If you'd like to start editing relevant Wikipedia articles and share your knowledge with other people, please go to the Wikipedia Welcome page for more information, guidance, and help.

To make future contests even more successful than this year, we would like to invite you to share your experiences with us in a short survey. Please fill in this short survey in your own language, and help us learn what you liked and didn't like about Wiki Loves Monuments 2012.

Kind regards,

the Wiki Loves Monuments team

Message from Candice Lee edit

Hi Rashmi,

I am an assistant producer from Infocus Asia, a documentary production house based in Singapore.

I am currently producing a series for National Geographic, about urban legends around Asia. My current episode is on the port of Diu, India.

I was searching for archive and images of Diu and India, and came across your image on Wikimedia of the Wall of the Portuguese Fort: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Wall_of_the_Portuguese_Fort_of_Diu.jpg

I was wondering if you had more image of Diu like these, and wanted to enquire if you would be keen to source some of your images to us for the show? I would love to use some of these in the show as archives for our scenes, to aid in telling the stories of Diu and India.

How it would work is that we need only the high res soft copy version of the images, perhaps sent via yousendit or dropbox. Unfortunately we do not have the budget to pay for the images, but how it will be an asset to you is that we will credit you in the show in the endshow credits - this production is airing on All Media, Worldwide and In Perpetuity on the National Geographic channel, which will be great exposure.

Thank you, look forward to hearing from you!
