File:P.R. Sarkar Bengali Dialects.svg
editHello there,
Thank you for your efforts in creating an image map of the Bengali dialects, I just I wanted to ask if you can make an ammendment please it is regarding Sylheti this is spoken only within Sylhet Division and Barak Valley and not in East Bangladesh areas such as Comilla where they speak more closer to Vikrampuri maybe, thanks. Also regarding Chittagong dialect, I would advice looking at the Southeastern Bangladesh ethnologue map to see exactly where Chittagonian spoken. Thank you.

- Hello,
- This map was not based on what I personally think the boundaries of the Bengali dialects ought to be, rather it is a map of the dialects proposed by Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar. He suggested that the dialects of Tippera/Comilla were part of Sylheti although that goes against popular opinion and common knowledge in the modern day. My goal was not to make a new innovative dialect map, it was to illustrate the ideas of an older dialect model. Thank you for the feedback.--Stormmaashrooms (talk) 22:57, 1 September 2020 (UTC)
