Identification of "File:Corn sword of Rea.jpg"
editHello and thank you for uploading that photograph, judging from the image I can tell that it's a Manchu Qing Dynasty period coin sword. However, I can't tell you more because the inscription of the coins aren't visible, can you perhaps upload a few close up photographs? By the inscription I can tell you from what period it is under which Emperor. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 16:08, 4 June 2022 (UTC)

- @Wrea90: , the cash coins used to make the sword are all from the same reign era and the inscription is Qianlong Tongbao (乾隆通寶). These cash coins were produced during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor from 1735 until 1796 and is actually the most common inscription associated with Chinese coin swords. The main reason why the Qianlong Tongbao cash coins are preferred is because his reign is often seen as the greatest of the Manchu Qing Emperors (alongside the Kangxi Emperor) so his title is seen as more auspicious than later Manchu Emperors. If you can also photograph the back sides I can tell you which mint in which city these coins were produced. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 17:00, 4 June 2022 (UTC)
