Photo dates
editHi Askmeifyoulike, I would like to know the exact years or dates when your photos are taken. I believe that you are the original photographer of the pics, but I just need to know when they were taken for verification so that they don't attract scrutiny. Thank you. 100cellsman (talk) 12:27, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
Looking through your uploads, it seems clear that for many of them you have given the date you uploaded the file, not the date you took the photo. Over at w:Little Richard I've just had to remove an image caption on your photo purporting to be a performance from 2018, when the rest of the article says he certainly wasn't performing by then. Please correct the dates on your photos. Even if you can only specify the decade they were taken that's better than a false date. Beorhtwulf (talk) 01:50, 10 May 2020 (UTC)
- Some specific problems:
- James Brown died in 2006, so File:James Brown in Concert.jpg cannot be from 2018
- BB King died in 2015 - File:BB King.jpg
- Unlike most uploads where you've just stated the date you uploaded it as the date of creation, you've specified that File:Joe Satriani.jpg is from 11 June 2018, 08:50:11. (Yes, 8:50 am!) But according to https://www.northseajazz.com/en/program/2018/friday-13-july/timetable/ the festival you say it was taken at happened in July, not June, and Satriani does not appear to have been there that year anyway.
