Photographs are protected by copyright up to 50 years after publication. Since the photograph was published in the newspaper (Berliner Leben, Heft 2, 1908, S. 10) more than 100 years ago, there is no copyright infringement according to § 72, 3 UrhG. I have now also found out the year of death of the photographer Martha Wolff, she died of pneumonia in the Theresienstadt concentration camp in 1942. If there are copyrights, they expired in 2012 and my memory is for Martha Wolff.
