Please review our project scope, but in short, Commons is targeted at media files including photographs, diagrams, animations, music, spoken text and video clips. Wikimedia Commons does not contain text articles like encyclopedia articles, textbooks, news, word definitions and such. Each of these other kinds of content have their own projects: Wikipedia, Wikibooks, Wikisource, Wikinews, Wiktionary and Wikiquote.

If the content seems to fit the scope of one of those other projects, please consider contributing it there. If you think that the deletion was in error because the contribution really was in scope, you can appeal it at Commons:Undeletion requests, giving a reason why it fits our scope to help others evaluate the matter. Well, I wish I could say you're welcome, but I don not understand why you deleted the photograph. Uploading and Attaching photos seems to be REAL difficult. No matter how many times I follow the instructions some yahoo that knows NOTHING about purebred dogs deletes my photo of a REAL, PUREBRED Olde English Bulldogge....why doesn't my photo fit the scope of the article? It's an actual photo of a REAL OEB, not one of the hybrid Bulldogs in the that people CALL OEB's.Don Pelon (talk) 20:25, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

Rest assured that I did not delete any photo of yours, just a gallery page that had no images in. Please create galleries only if you have some images to put in. Thank you for your photos! Patrícia ^msg 21:08, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for responding Patricia and I apologize if I was a little short in my message. I misunderstood the message regarding the project scope. I forgot I had created a gallery and didn't put anything in it. Again, thank you very much for your help and I apologize if got a little frustratedDon Pelon (talk) 23:56, 17 August 2008 (UTC).
