You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Hello, if you copy images from some wikipedia to commons, make sure to include the link to the original image page and the author. Especially the author is important; if the author is not mentioned, this will mean a violation of the license. There is a tools called CommonsHelper that helps you generating the correct information. Sorry, but Alien and predator are copyrighted, and it is very unlikely to find a free equivalent, as they will be considered derivative work. You can probably upload such work to your local wiki, if the wiki accepts fair use material. -- Bryan (talk to me) 09:57, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

If your wiki does not accept fair use, then there is unfortunately no way you can get a picture of Alien and Predator in your article.

If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{self|cc-by-sa-2.5}} to release it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

When transfering a file from another wiki you must follow the license conditions. You say with your upload that the photo is under GFDL. GFDL requires mentioning of the author. You not mention the author, your upload is a clear violation of the license. --Martin H. (talk) 16:33, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
