First steps tutorial

Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content).

You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki.

Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.
Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.

Made a mistake?

Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.
Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

La foto, scattata nel 2015 da un deltaplano, è di mia proprietà dal momento che mi è stata donata dall’autore in un recente colloquio, quando l’ho informato del mio intento di includerla nella pagina Wikipedia di Frigento. In passato era stata pubblicata dall’autore sui social media, ma è stata rimossa già da diversi anni. La ragione per la quale ne sono presenti online alcune versioni a risoluzione decisamente inferiore è il fatto che qualcuno deve averla salvata in passato per poterla poi riutilizzare. Why not upload a picture of a plant, animal, or anything else which fits into our scope. You can contribute any media type you want, including but not limited to images, videos, music, and 3D models. There is no valid reason to delete this photo from Wikimedia commons since it is unpublished, it is my own property and it has all the meta-data that prove my statements. I would also like to point out that I’ve been blocked from editing Wikipedia for a week for “copyright infringement” but this action is not correct since I own the property of the picture that I uploaded. You can easily recognise how this last photo is different from every other picture that you can find online. Frg.gm (talk) 15:31, 27 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Non c'è alcun motivo per eliminare la fotografia in questione dal momento che è inedita, di mia proprietà ed è corredata da tutti i metadata che provano quanto sostengo. La fotografia è sensibilmente diversa dalle precedenti rimosse, comunque opere di mia proprietà, dal momento che l'angolazione è del tutto diversa e sono molti i particolari differenti. Non esiste online alcuna foto simile essendo, lo ripeto, del tutto inedita. Sono, peraltro, stato bloccato per una settimana dalla possibilità di fare ogni qualsivoglia genere di lavoro di modifica su Wikipedia, il che mi rende impossibile rendere giustizia alla voce enciclopedica di Frigento che in questo momento si trova ingiustamente mutilata di una vista panoramica che non viola alcun copyright e, soprattutto, di informazioni perfettamente documentate (è stata annullata la modifica che introduceva l'apposita citazione) da fonti assolutamente credibili. Allo steso modo il mio blocco mi impedisce di contestare questo stato di fatto, che io trovo del tutto ingiusto e immotivato oltre che frettoloso, nelle sede più opportuna, cioè nella pagine di discussione dell'utente @Rojelio che ha proceduto al blocco.
