They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content). You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki. Getting help More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities. You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads. Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

I created a new account because I easily forget my username/password and didn't even bother to use the account recovery feature. You are not blocked for using multiple accounts ("my account was blocked due to the use of multiple accounts"), you are blocked for abusing multiple accounts. As alternative accounts are not forbidden, the purport to "clearly understand why the creation of multiple accounts is unacceptable" only demonstrates not even that issue is understood. The underlying abuse is, of course, after numerous copyright violations and warnings, including a final warning (!!!) as Orugoro, you used a new account (FutureProofs) to recreate a copyvio. Further, you misrepresented yourself to be the author of the recreation (i.e., you used the UploadWizard, in which the very first selection after uploading the file is the binary "This file is my own work" and "This file is not my own work"; this cannot be gotten wrong but through lying). No indication that the issue is understood or credible commitment to discontinue is on offer here. Dear elcobbola, Thank you very much for your clarification, but let me disagree a bit. I chose "This is my own work" because I am also one of the copyright holders of Kento Masuda's photographs. To prove it, a few months ago I even contacted from my personal @kentomasuda.com address and submitted a form, with a desire to transfer the copyright to the public domain. Unfortunately, the photo was eventually deleted, because the editor, with whom I communicated via email, demanded a document confirming my copyright, which, unfortunately, I did not have. As you can see, there is no cheating on my part, only the inability to prove my copyright with a document. • Dear Magog the Ogre, I have a problem recovering my account and I would be very thankful if you could help. I think it would be more correct if you also could express your opinion. elcobbola believes my account has been suspended for possible copyright violations. However, I contacted the volunteer center team from my @kentomasuda.com personal account and was willing to transfer the copyright to the public domain. My appeal was rejected because they demanded a document confirming my copyright, which I did not have. But can this be considered a copyright violation if I myself am the copyright holder?   I will unblock your account because I believe you that you may own the copyright (although this is not a good look). But it would be contingent upon a promise that you do not upload the same photo again until you've worked the matter out with the email team or successfully appealed through UDR.
