Atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki edit

Hi there. I noticed a series of edits you made in March 2015 putting some photos from the US Department of Energy into the category for the Nagasaki bombings. The US Department of Energy Flickr pages (example) don't specify whether the photos are of Nagasaki or Hiroshima. Do you have evidence (e.g. other photos) that these photos are all of the destruction of Nagasaki and not of Hiroshima? I think some you have recognised from elsewhere, like this edit (is that Nagasaki University somewhere in the photograph?). And are you saying that this photo is of the Mitsubishi Steel Works? I also asked User:Bomazi about this here. Carcharoth (talk) 12:27, 14 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hello. For this edit,it is reflected in the same building to theCollection photo of Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum 『Nagasaki Medical College Hospital seen from Hamaguchi-machi』(Nagasaki Medical College, of Nagasaki University predecessor).
For this photo, positional relationship between the line and the river, and Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum 『Mitsubishi Nagasaki Steel Works The Second Plant seen from the sky over southern Iwakawa-machi』.It can not be the relationship on the upload of Japanese copyright, but from the fact that can be confirmed in the hand of the article, was added to the tag.
I apologize for that in clumsy English.--Houjyou-Minori (talk) 11:45, 15 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
Many thanks for providing those links. I have added them to the image pages. See my edits here and here. Would you be able to provide similar identification links to photos at the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum Memorial Database for the following images? I will report the duplicates so someone can delete them. Your English is fine. I hope I am writing clearly enough for you to understand my English. Carcharoth (talk) 06:21, 17 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Round 2 of Picture of the Year 2017 is open! edit

You are receiving this message because you voted in R1 of the 2017 Picture of the Year contest, but not yet in R2.

Dear Houjyou-Minori,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2017 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the twelfth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2017) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. In Round 1, there were 1475 candidate images. There are 58 finalists in Round 2, comprised of the top 30 overall as well as the top 2 from each sub-category.

In the final round, you may vote for a maximum of three images. The image with the most votes will become the Picture of the Year 2017.

Round 2 will end on 22 July 2018, 23:59 UTC.

Thanks,
the Wikimedia Commons Picture of the Year committee 11:33, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
