Photographs of sculptures by Valentin Galochkin
editHi, ISeeALL, you have uploaded an interesting series of photographs that depict sculptures by Valentin Galochkin. Two points, however, have to be addressed or clarified to keep these images on Commons:
- You claim that all these photographs were your own work including a quite aged photography from 1946. This sounds unlikely. Could you please elaborate how you obtained these photographs?
- These images are not free for uploading because they depict copyrighted pieces of art unless a permission is provided by the artist or all of his heirs as he died in 2006. If you have indeed such a permission, please open an OTRS ticket by sending an email to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org.
Please let me know if I can be of any help. Regards, AFBorchert (talk) 18:41, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for your response on my talk page. I've responded here. Regards, --AFBorchert (talk) 22:52, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Hi ISeeALL, in following up our discussion on my talk page I've filed Image:ValentinGalochkin 1946.jpg and Image:ValentinGalochkin 1957.jpg for deletion. It is sad that these valuable pictures have to go but unavoidable according to our policies as the ownership of a photograph does not automatically grant the permission to redistribute it. --AFBorchert (talk) 19:26, 1 December 2008 (UTC) P.S. I will respond to your other questions on my talk page.
