Allies vs. Axis game edit

If these are screenshots from a typical commercial app, then the GFDL/CC-BY-SA license is unfortunately nonsense... AnonMoos (talk) 03:40, 30 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Since both game & screenshots are created and edited by its author. The license should be decided by its author. I create a thing by my own, do I have the rights to give it or sell it or do whatever with it ?

The screenshots are screenshots. The game is the game. The game is commercial. The screenshots are not. Does it make sense ? 14:05, 29 April 2013 (UTC)

I, iSparetime, delete the copyright violation on the screenshot. I think you misunderstanding how copyright apply. Let me give you example:

Microsoft develops Microsoft Windows, Adobe develops Photoshop.

Lynda.com is an online teaching site, they not only capture screenshots but records video showing how MS Windows, Photoshop, Autocad, 3D Max, etc. works. They do that legally because they bought the copyright software, they records the video of their bought items.

Same to people taking photos of their dress and post them onto ebay to sell them, the design of the dress is copyrighted by the designer, but the owner of the dress taking picture of her dress. Does she have the right to take photo of her dress ? YES. Does she have the right to post her photo onto internet ? YES and it's legal, same as Lynda does, same as everyone in ebay does. 10:17, 30 April 2013 (UTC)
